How do I know if individual therapy is for me?
Individual therapy is a relational tool that can help you better understand yourself, your experiences and your relationships. Maybe you’ve felt stuck in certain patterns, been experiencing anxiety or depression, or are navigating a lot of changes and are seeking some support. If you feel ready to explore these things more in-depth and experience relief to the struggles they bring, individual therapy may be for you.
What kinds of things does individual therapy address?
Individual therapy can be utilized to address many struggles and symptoms, such as:
Anxiety and Stress
Depression
Life Transitions and Adjustments
Relational/Interpersonal Struggles
Trauma and PTSD/CPTSD
Women’s Issues
Self-exploration
What does individual therapy look like?
The greatest asset of individual therapy is the relationship you build with your therapist. The quality of this relationship directly impacts the quality of your experience and the outcomes you are looking for. Knowing this, I take a deeply relational approach to individual therapy, spending time building trust and comfort between us and attuning to your individualized needs and goals. Together, we will identify what areas of yourself and your life need a deeper look and work to gain insight and understanding around them. We will build tools for you to utilize in addressing daily stressors as well as look at how your relationships, past experiences and involvement in various systems impact your circumstances and responses to them.
